Influenster SunKissed VoxBox

It is always exciting to receive a VoxBox from Influenster. If you are not familiar with what a VoxBox is, it is an assortment of products to try out. You receive these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster and you are under no obligation to write a review. The products are always so great however that I love sharing my feedback about them.

The latest Influenster VoxBox is the SunKissed VoxBox and what a delight it was to receive. It includes some very great products all of which I like and will continue to use!

The first product that I tried in the VoxBox was Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15. The BB Cream promised some great benefits including refreshing your skin instantly, brightening it for a radiant glow, evening your skin tone with a splash of sheer color, hydrating your skin for 24 hours, smoothing your skin for a softer feeling, and protecting against UV damage with SPF 15. I found all of these benefits to be true. My skin did feel smoother and had a nice fresh-looking appearance. The color was sheer but provided some coverage. I also liked the scent which was not too over-powering. All-in-all I am happy with my Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 experience!

The next product that I tried was the Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles. They are designed to help prevent foot aches and pain caused by wearing high heels that are 2 inches or higher. The unique gel provides a really soft arch that shifts pressure off the ball of your foot. They stay firmly in place and the cool thing is that you can re-use them. Taking them out does not damage your shoes at all.  I had always wanted to try these and shouldn't have waited so long! The Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles  are super comfortable and so easy to use.

I was really excited to try the SinfulColors SinfulShine Nail Polish. The polish comes in 32 rich, shiny colors and is made without formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. It is made with an exclusive Gel Tech technology that has real staying power. It is very affordable too! The color I received is Break Away blue and it's a great look for summer or year round. One look and I knew it would make a great pedicure. I was right! I have to say again how shiny the SinfulColors SinfulShine Nail Polish is too!

In the summer it is always nice to pull your hair up or back. The Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics that I received are perfect for that! They are soft and stretchy and do not tug at your hair. They are truly ouchless! There are multiple colors that are right in fashion and can coordinate with all your outfits. You can even wear them on your wrist if you are so inclined! I found the Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics to be very comfortable to wear and look great on the hair.

Newman’s Own Organics

I have been following a great blog for a while now called “Losing Weight” by Kelli Bliss where she recently did a Newman’s Own Organics Review and Giveaway. To my delight I was chosen as the winner of the giveaway. Kelli put me in touch with Newman’s Own Organics who couldn’t have been nicer! They sent me a great selection of products!

Since this was a contest, I am under no obligation to write a review. However, I’ve had so much fun tasting the products from Newman’s Own Organics that I wanted to share my experience!

Newman’s Own Organics has an impressive history of contributing to the funding of charitable causes. The company was established as a division of Newman's Own in 1993, and became a separate company in late 2001. The sale of Newman’s Own Organics products generates money for the Newman's Own Foundation. Since 1982 Paul Newman and the Newman's Own Foundation have donated more than $350 million dollars to educational and charitable organizations worldwide.

Let me start by saying that I have been using Newman’s Own products for years. Their Pineapple Salsa has been a particular favorite of mine. I also enjoy their Tomato & Basil Bombolina Pasta Sauce and their frozen foods are great too such as Margherita Thin & Crispy Pizza and the Shrimp Scampi Complete Skillet Meal.

Getting back to the contest, what a win this was! When the package was delivered I noticed how heavy it was. I knew right away I was in for a treat! Newman’s Own Organics was very generous in their assortment and gave me a great selection of their products that I had never tried before.

I've had the Newman-O's Hint O’ Mint Cookies before so I was happy to try a new flavor! The first product I opened was the Newman-O’s Ginger-O's Cream Cookies and I enjoyed the creamy, crisp cookies with just the right amount of ginger taste. Yum!

Next I tried the Newman’s Own Traditional Pretzel Thins and found them to be very fresh and crispy, and not too salty! Very good!

Newman’s Own must have guessed I like licorice because they sure sent me an impressive assortment. Being a cherry lover, you know that is the first that I tried. The Newman’s Own Organics Sour Cherry Licorice Twists were a super treat! In addition to tasting great I found them to be quite unique. The licorice twists have a slight dusting of sugar on each. The sweet, sour, and chewy make a delicious combination. I look forward to trying the other flavors.

I’m always up for a great bite of chocolate, and I had several choices to try. The Newman’s Own Organics Chocolate Bars come in both milk and dark chocolate. I tried the Mocha Milk Chocolate and the Orange Dark Chocolate. What can I say? I’m in love! The bars are so decadent and rich, and are made from carefully selected organic cocoa beans. They are a real treat. I also tried the Newman’s Own Organics Peanut Butter Cups which were equally delicious!

My prize box also included Newman’s Own Organics Pop-Corn which was lightly buttered in just the right amount, and was so easy to make in the microwave! A tasty and easy snack!

I also received a great choice of 100% organic dried fruits. I’ve been enjoying the Newman’s Own Organics Berry Blend which is a combination of raisins, cranberries, blueberries, and cherries. They are great sprinkled on a salad or on their own!

Believe it or not, I’ve only told you about some of the products I received. Newman’s Own Organics sent me a plentiful assortment of products to try. It is pretty clear my fun is going to continue for some time to come! Thanks Newman's Own!

“The Taste” Tuesday at 8|7c on ABC

You will be deliciously satisfied with “The Taste”, a high-energy, fast-paced cooking competition show that stands out with its unique blind tasting rounds. Comprised of four teams of diverse contestants and four mentors/judges, the show began with audition rounds. The mentors, renowned celebrity chefs Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre, and Brian Malarkey, each selected four members for their teams. The competitor’s cooking backgrounds range from self-trained to those with a more formal training background. The mentors also serve as judges on the show.

As with most competition shows there are eliminations each week. “The Taste” is no different. Each week a contestant has the opportunity to win immunity. The mentors work with their teams sharing opinions and feedback during the Team Taste Test round. After the dishes are prepared each mentor selects the best of the four to compete for immunity. The dishes are blindly sampled by guest judges. When their decision is made the winning plate is turned over to reveal the winning team name on the bottom. The contestant who prepared that dish wins immunity.

The next round on “The Taste” vies all contestants to select the dish they want to create that must meet a specific criteria. As an example, it must pair well with a certain wine. When time is up, the contestants place a bite of their creation onto an over-sized spoon. The mentors/judges are served the spoons but without the knowledge of which contestant prepared each. In this Blind Tasting round, the mentors/judges ultimately select what they consider the best and worst tasting spoons.

What makes the Blind Tasting round exciting is the mentors/judges may wind up selecting one of their own teams members as worst! Two contestants are eliminated each week from those who placed as worst.

 

 

 

“The Taste” has several great things going for it. The mentors/judges have a good camaraderie between. They can be vocal in their opinions which are fun to watch. The blind tastings are different and are entertaining to watch too. You never know what the mentors/judges reactions are going to be. The hour goes by so fast and it leaves you looking forward to seeing the next tasty episode!

If you are looking for a lipstick with shine you will find a winner in NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine. Not only does it have great shine it has a really nice smell!

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine has a variety of colors to choose. The color that I tried is Nude York City. It looks great alone and also over other lipstick to add more shine! NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine is reasonably priced but seems like an expensive product! A great deal!

Kiss Nail Dress

I was really excited to try Kiss Nail Dress! It is a really nice product that makes “polishing” your nails easy by applying self-stick color strips to your nails.

The color I tried is Kiss Nail Dress Babydoll which is beige with gold accents. It’s really pretty and looks dressy. The package has strips for fingers and toes and has a good selection of sizes. The one downside for me is the strong smell. Aside from that, Kiss Nail Dress is a good product and definitely worth a try!

Goody Quikstyle Brush

 

What a great idea for drying your hair faster! The Goody Quikstyle Brush has unique, absorbent bristles that help to remove water from your hair to speed up the drying process as you style.

I found the Goody Quikstyle Brush to really work! Since it is a large brush it took a few minutes to find the most comfortable way to hold the brush while drying but once I did all went smoothly in more ways than one. The Goody Quikstyle Brush helped dry my hair to a smooth and sleek finish!

Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal

What a surprise! I’m more of a cinnamon Oatmeal type of person so I wasn’t sure if I would like the Summer Berry Oatmeal with fruit. I did! Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal is quite a treat!

With Sweet Strawberries, Red Raspberries, and Whole Blueberries, Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal has a tasty fruit combination with just the right amount of sweetness. Combined with Wholesome Multigrains, this is great choice for breakfast or a snack. It’s easy and fast to make in its container in the microwave. Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal is a great healthy choice!

SoleSociety

If you like shoes, you can find some really pretty styles at SoleSociety. It is easy to find shoe types by collection such as flats or heels. There are also SoleSociety insider picks and new arrivals to view.

I am hard to fit since my foot is between a narrow and regular width so I cannot always wear every style. This makes me hesitant to buy shoes online unless I am buying a pair I already own. For someone with no fit issues, SoleSociety is great site to find really attractive shoes at reasonable prices.

EBOOST

Trying EBOOST introduced me a new way to boost your energy and add vitamins to your diet. My sample was the Pink Lemonade flavor.

The ingredients in EBOOST include green tea, vitamins, super nutrients, and Stevia. It has no sugar and has only 5 calories. The flavor tasted good and was just like lemonade. Since I already take a multi-vitamin I’m not sure that I would also want to take EBOOST too, however EBOOST certainly is a good alternative if you don’t take a daily vitamin!

Crest 3D Professional Whitestrips

I am delighted that I was chosen by Influenster to review Crest 3D Professional Whitestrips.

I've always wanted to try whitestrips to see how they would work. I'm not sure why I never got around to it, but I should have done so much sooner!

My complementary Influenster package arrived with a full-size box of Crest 3D Professional Whitestrips. I couldn't wait to get started.

The box contained 20 whitestrips. I carefully read the directions and was on my way to whiter teeth. It couldn't have been easier. Peel and place on your lower and upper front teeth. Leave on 30 minutes and remove. Simple.

The directions said I'd see some results by Day 3. I was a bit skeptical. I shouldn't have been. I really did see some results by Day 3! I'm on Day 13 now and wow! Things are going great! My teeth are definitely whiter!

I'll be updating as I count down to Day 20! Stay tuned...

My 14th day testing Crest 3D Professional Whitestrips. I had some sensitivity in a front tooth. Otherwise it's still going well. Looking forward to seeing my final results on Day 20!

My overall experience was really good. I found the whitestrips to be easy to use. While there were a few times that I felt some sensitivity, it really was not bad and went away quickly. I experienced no other side effects. The end result is even better than I expected. My teeth really do look whiter than I can ever remember. I'm impressed with the Crest 3D Professional Whitestrips product. I plan to use it again in the future, and I highly recommend it to others.
